I heard that the actor who played Al on Home Improvement is going to take over as host. I have watched that show since I was a little girl. My mom and I would watch it together all the time. Our favorite game was and still is Plinko.
I never have hear Rosie is taking over as host of Prices is Right. Where did you get that from?

The Price is Right will not be the same. CBS should retire the show. The networks have not been able to support game shows in 20 years, TPIR without Barker will go the way of the rest of the gameshows.

I too have watched since I was little. Personally, I think he has gotten creepier lately! Too much plastic surgery! End of an era for sure, but maybe “AL” wouldn’t frighten as many viewers!!! LOL

It just makes me want to cry, I could not even watch the specail last night, cuz I am going to live in denial as long as I can. My favorite game was the Yodeling man on the mountain.

Yea, I will miss him, I’ve watched that show all my life and I’m 36 now. Will not be the same without him.

Richard Karn was the host of Family Feud, and I suppose he may not be a bad successor. But let’s face it, no one can fill the shoes of Bob Barker. Those are some very big shoes to fill, and no matter how hard they may try, The Price is Right will never be the same without the legend himself at the helm.
Plinko is my favorite pricing game too, always was and always will be.
But I hope they will choose someone who will not totally annoy the crap out of anyone, and someone who will not push for any major format changes to the show. That is part of the reason why Price lasted so long, and is the longest lasting game show in US television history. If they screw with the format at all, they will surely find a sudden drop in the number of viewers.

Bob Barker deserves to retire after being in tv for fifty years. I watched his show tonight at 8:00 p.m. & really enjoyed looking back at his years in televison, as well as the highlights of TPIR shows. I hope he is blessed with continued good health, as he enjoys retirement. Tonight, a contestant played Plinko bit didn’t win all that much money. I love Plinko too. Bob Barker’s last show will be aired June 1st.

I think it’s about time! he’s been on the tube so long his face looks fake! he should have retired years ago, but i guess some people just have to work. it defines them.

It hurts. It hurts worse than I thought it would. I knew this time would come, I’ve known it for many years. We have no choice.Even having watched TPIR ever since Bob Barker’s hair was REALLY brown (no coloring), I knew then that there was no way to keep him forever. I’m glad to have seen hm, but this is gonna be painful to me.
God bless you, Bob!
